The San Gabriel Economic Development Division received three Awards of Merit from the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) in the following categories:

In 2013, the City of San Gabriel was recognized as a small city finalist at the "Most Business-Friendly Cities" Eddy Awards ceremony by the Los Angeles Economic Development Commission (LAEDC) for demonstrating commitment to expanding economic development in San Gabriel.
